This budget will be based on the number of students who participated in each group for the prior year, and on available membership drive funds. The booster club reserves the right to change the budget formula based on available funds. The amount allocated for each group is strictly a budget figure and not a guarantee that the amount will be fully distributed. Any amount left in a group's budget can be carried over to the next year.

Groups must apply for funds using the Bulldog Booster Club form on the Request Funding web page at www.bulldogboosterclub.com. Depending on the request, the Bulldog Booster Club suggests that money allocated to that group by the school budget be spent before the Bulldog Booster money. In addition, the maximum funding a group will qualify for will be based on the prior year's total number of students or the current year's participants if the program was not in existence the prior year.

The following considerations shall guide decisions on the allocation of funds by the Bulldog Booster Club. It is understood that no one or two of these criteria should be considered controlling. Under the best of circumstances, which is not always possible, all of these criteria should be examined, and a decision should be made reflecting common sense, a generous spirit and the intent to promote good citizenship, sportsmanship and a well rounded student population.

Possible Funding Considerations

  1. To what extent has the group or group parents contributed to Booster Club activities and fund raising?
  2. What is the amount requested?
  3. Is the activity which will receive the funds a BHS/BJH extracurricular activity?
  4. How many students will benefit directly and indirectly from the expenditure?
  5. Is the money to be spent on equipment or other capital improvement which will be able to be passed on to future users?
  6. Is the expenditure one in a line of similar expenditures by the team, club, etc.? Is it the first? How were the other similar expenditures, if any, funded?  Is the request a "need" or a "want"?
  7. How recently has the Booster Club previously provided funding for this same team, club, activity, etc. which is requesting funds?
  8. How much of the total cost of the project is the Booster Club being asked to fund?
  9. What are the other sources or potential of funds for this project?
  10. To what extent have other sources of funds been exhausted?
